Still buying when I should be buiulding Empty
PostSubject: Still buying when I should be buiulding   Still buying when I should be buiulding Icon_minitimeSun Aug 03, 2014 6:36 pm

I just finished telling myself to buckle down and build, build, build.  Get to working on the stash and get to the childhood goal of shelves and shelves of WWII fighters, maybe some bombers.

But shopping for, and buying, more planes is too strong an addiction.

Just ordered this, and tracking tells me it'll be delivered Monday:

Any opinions on this kit, or this company?

Thanks.

Ken

Howdy Ken, that would be a great kit i'm sure. Special Hobby take good kits from other manufacturers, re-box them and add in loads of AM stuff. So most likely that is an Italeri or Tamiya kit with loads of Eduard or Aires resin and brass. Enjoy, looking forward to the step by step build here.

Hi Ken,

have you ever built a Classic Airframes kit?

You may find these kits just like them, currently building a Special Hobby kit,

https://modelmaker.forumotion.com/t251-miles-magister-trainer-special-hobby-1-48

I have a feeling that one will be much the same, no locating lugs, butt joins, so you may have to use some brass rods or similar to beef up the strength on the wing/elevator/rudder joins.

Dry fit a lot, and give the kit lots of thought as you build - put the mind in gear before your hands start gluing.

would like to see the box contents too, a mini review so to speak.

Like Classic Airframes, S.H. gives you kits that you don't see by the mainstream ones these days.

Will be good watching this one go together.

I also have this one waiting to ''take off'' !
