Trumpeter 1/16th T34/85 Model 1943

Howdy

Here's what i call my mood buster kit.
First off, its MASSIVE!
I know a lot of people have a lot to say about Trumpeter, but I have built a few and I must say that I have not had any issues and I enjoy them.
This kit is huge, and has a fully detailed interior, engine and gearbox and turret interior. Basically everything is there, but there is still room for improvement.
Ive seen a couple built and they really look good, but i want to do something different...
Probably the ultimate sacrelidge here, but i want to turn this into either a T34 Prime Mover, or Recovery vehicle...
Im still in the process of basically getting the balls to do it, but heres where I am so far.


This is basically the point of no return, where I jump in and just damn well do it.

I'm drooling at the mouth mate. This is a build I shall be keenly looking at regularly to see if there are any updates. So far looking good.

Decsion has been made, im going to do a T34 prime mover...
Based on stuff ive been reading, it appears a few T34's that had there turrets damaged etc, were used in this role. The turret ring seems to have been covered over with steel plate, (sometimes just wood) and a dirty great box added to the back and also on some of them, a winch.
Busy working out the dimensions at the mo, for the box, which Ill make out of Plastic Card, with a wooden inlay for the bottom and sides.
Got myself a Trumpeter 1/16th Tank crew chappie to pose next to it, and I see it on a nice and muddy 'little' dio board.

I must be mad...
