| WOW!!! Hell Dave that is a serious lump of resin. Looking at the quality of the resin bits, did you have to do a lot of clean up and repairs, because the quality looks quite a bit better than that of the Ratel. Think I might just get the Ratel down again at the weekend and have another lookie.... Steve | |

| Hey Steve No major repair work. The grey is Mr Surfacer which I used on seams and a number of minor imperfections. The biggest pain in balls so far was removing the casting block on the turret. In the past my with my earlier BaxMod kits, it was common to repair parts or fill large air bubbles. With the new casting methods used by Chris that now appears to be a thing of the past. Get that Ratel started Steve! | |

| Yeah, thats whats I was going on about, theres quite a few imperfections on the Ratels Body and Turret (air bubbles). Off home this weekend so I think i should give this bugger a go.
Sorry to keep bombarding you with questions, but I believe you are supposed to clean the resin in soapy water before putting any paint down.
Thanks

| No problems Steve. Yes give it wash first to get rid of any residue mold release agent still remaining. Otherwise you might find that paint doesn't stick very well. | |

| Cheers Snowy.
Regarding other mobile artillery I've had similar thoughts. In the stash I also have the British AS90, Japanese Type 99, German Pzh 2000 and US M109 & M110. Visually the G6 will stand out as the others (bar the M110) are similar in appearance. | |

| Hi Guys Add to that the Polish/Czech Dana SP gun, the Russian S2P, plus the AMX 30 155 and the Chinese one from Trumpeter.
Hey that would make a nice GB, SP Guns...

| After much swearing and cursing the main suspension parts are in place Once again I couldn't resist putting a few parts in their place, it's starting to feel that the bulk of the build is almost done. | |

| Thanks man. It cost me £75 (including shipping to the UK) a couple of years ago. However Chris Baxter has just announced that he's having to increase his prices, so I would double check with him.
